Welcome to my Page

My name is Zuri Ashia Kenyatte, I’m 12 years old, and I live in Washington, DC. I’m in the 7th grade and this is my second semester at AYA. I’m interested in art and food chemistry. I like learning new things in science, but homework is sometimes challenging for me. I admire Dr. Charles Drew and how he defied the stereotypes of black people to save someone’s life. I would like to have a few “wow factors” in this answering some of the questions I’ve always had about simple things. I’m looking forward to the new knowledge I will receive in this class.

Key Learning: Melanin is not just a pigment but helps all parts of the Body

Most Difficult: Having to do PowerPoints on my Findings

Most Enjoyable: Working in teams for information

Greatest Learning: Melanin is more than just a catchy saying on a T-shirt
